Ultimate Descents is Committed to conserving wild Himalayan Rivers :
Ultimate Descents Nepal (UD Nepal) is the founding member of Nepal River Conservation Trust (NRCT). We have always valued and respected our natural surroundings to affirm its sustainability for the future generations and continue to do so.
NRCT in association with UD Nepal has hosted many workshops for river guides, for river communities, has launched big campaigns such as Bagmati cleanup campaign, Save the Bhotekoshi Campaign since its inception in 1995. We also host the annual river festival during the last weekend of February on the Bhote Koshi River. UDN has been actively supporting these campaigns ever since they were initiated. These festivals are organized in order to raise awareness about the conservation of the Himalayan Rivers and to bring people and communities closer to the river so they understand its plight better. Events include Kayak Rodeo, Workshops on River Conservation, Friendship float (rafting) etc.
Our $1 Project
Every client who buys a trip worth $100, we keep aside $1 for River Conservation and River Restoration Projects. Some examples of our river restoration projects can be witnessed at the Sun Koshi Beach and Trisuli Beach Camp, an environmental initiative of UDN. You are welcome to visit us and find out more about these projects. Nepal has 6,000 small and big rivers. Join us to keep a few free flowing forever.
