Tentative Itinerary for Catch and Release Fishing & Wildlife Adventure in Bardiya National Park

Day 1

Arrival & Fishing Kickoff

Morning: Flight to Nepalgunj, followed by a 3-hour drive to Chepang Ghat (starting point).
Afternoon: Entry into Bardiya National Park, obtain permits, and prepare rafts.Safety briefing by river guides.
Evening: Fishing & Camping – Set up fishing rods as Golden Mahseer is most active at night.Camp on the river beach inside the national park for an immersive wilderness experience.

Day 1

Day 2

Rafting, Fishing & Wildlife Safari

Morning: Pack up gear, have breakfast, and review paddling techniques before starting.
Daytime: 5–6 hours of rafting & fishing while spotting rare wildlife like Bengal tigers, elephants, rhinos, crocodiles, and exotic birds.
Evening: Arrive at Camp 2, set up fishing rods, and catch Golden Mahseer before releasing it back into the river. Overnight camping in the wilderness.

Leisurely Fishing & Farewell Campfire

Morning: Relaxed fishing session or explore riverbanks for photography and wildlife spotting.
Afternoon: Picnic lunch by the river, followed by more fishing or optional bird-watching and nature walks.
Evening: Special farewell BBQ dinner with dessert. Gather around the campfire for a memorable night under the stars. Overnight in tents.

Final Drift & Departure

Morning: 4-hour drift down to Babai Bridge (Mahendra Highway), marking the trip’s final stretch.
Midday: Lunch at the takeout point before loading rafts onto the bus.
Afternoon: Drive back to Nepalgunj (few hours). Optional jeep safari, cultural show, or extended stay in Bardiya (extra cost).
